Senior System Engineer
OVERVIEW: We’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure & Middleware Engineer to manage and maintain our complex system environment, including Linux, Unix servers, and ESXi virtualization platforms. This role will also be primarily responsible for deploying, troubleshooting, and managing Java-based Middleware applications, specifically the Anylink Tmax solution. A key aspect of this role involves ensuring effective data backup, recovery processes, and strict adherence to PCI DSS compliance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Server Management & Operations:
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux – RHEL) and Unix (AIX) servers.
- Manage and operate the virtualization environment on ESXi (VMware vSphere), including VM deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
- Perform system patching, OS upgrades, and routine maintenance tasks to ensure system stability and security.
2. Middleware & Java Application Management and Support:
- Install, configure, manage, and monitor various Java-based Middleware applications.
- Specifically, manage, operate, and troubleshoot the Anylink Tmax solution.
- Perform Java application builds and deployments to server environments.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve issues related to performance, system errors, or Middleware application malfunctions.
- Collaborate with application development teams to optimize the performance and stability of Java applications.
3. Data Backup & Recovery Management:
- Implement, manage, and monitor system and application data backup solutions.
- Periodically verify the integrity of backups and execute data recovery procedures when necessary to ensure system availability.
4. Information Security & PCI DSS Compliance:
- Implement and enforce information security policies and controls specifically aligned with PCI DSS requirements across server infrastructure, Middleware, and applications.
- Implement necessary security configurations to protect cardholder data and systems from threats.
5. Troubleshooting & Support:
- Proactively monitor systems and applications for early issue detection.
- Promptly respond to and resolve technical incidents in accordance with SLA (Service Level Agreement) procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
– Bachelor degree and above
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL) and Unix (AIX) operating systems.
- Experience in managing and operating ESXi virtualization platforms.
- Solid understanding of Middleware concepts and operations, especially Java-based applications.
- Experience with Anylink Tmax solution is a strong plus.
- Experience with building and deploying Java applications.
- Familiarity with data backup and recovery procedures.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
